China National GeneBank (CNGB)

CNGB will establish a state-of-the-art, highly efficient genetic information database, traceable biorepository, and the national standard of operation for genetic data and biospecimen collection, storage, and management.

CNGB has participated in numerous international and national collaborations, aiming to establish a fundamental supportive platform for the biomedical, bio-agricultural, and marine biology research.

CNGB will protect precious and unique genetic resources in China. By stimulating genetic and bioinformatics data sharing and utilization, and improving genetic data storage, analysis, and management capabilities, CNGB will promote further development of life sciences and biotechnology industries, seizing the strategic advantage of bio-economy and genetic resource for the future.

GigaScience is a new open-access online journal launched on 12 July 2012. GigaScience publishes a great number of biological research findings with a novel scheme integrating normalized full-text articles, information databases and informatics analysis tools. Therefore, readers can not only focus on the scientific conclusions of literatures but also evaluate and verify the results with the data and the analysis tools provided by the literatures.
